Die Blackened Death Metal-Band WEREWOLVES hat mit “Mission Statement” ein weiteres Video von ihrem aktuellen Album “What A Time To Be Alive” veröffentlicht.
Im Januar 2021 sind mit “Sublime Wartime Voyeurism” und “Crushgasm” weitere Videos und im Dezember 2020 mit “Antisocial” die zweite Vorab-Single als Video-Clip erschienen.
“Matt and Dave sent me this slab of death metal warfare in the middle of lockdown and I had to do some lyrics for it. I could barely write anything as all my fuckhead neighbors were making noise…“, erinnert sich Sänger und Bassist Sam Bean. „Who the fuck decides to be a noisy asshole during lockdown anyway? So I wrote about how I want to kill and eat them, and I invite anyone having neighbour issues to blast this at them. Oh yeah, we were going to be so Australian and call this track ‘Neighbours’ but then thought we’d better go with Antisocial.”
Im November 2020 ist mit “I Don’t Like You” der erste Vorab-Song als Lyric-Video erschienen.
“We´ll fight anyone who contacts this band about anything. It seems that there are still people who listened to the debut album and didn´t understand what we´re about. If you don´t get the message within the first five seconds of this song, there´s nothing we can do other than throw our CD at your big, stupid, bearded face”, klärt Sänger und Bassist Sam Bean auf. “It is faster, blacker, angrier, heavier, and dumber than anything we ve done so far, and shall cleave the scene into ´true extreme metal fans´ and ´poseurs´ like Moses parting the Red Sea.”
“What A Time To Be Alive” ist nach “The Dead Are Screaming” das zweite Album der Australier und wurde von Joe Haley (PSYCROPTIC) gemixt. Das Cover-Artwork stammt abermals von Mitchell Nolte (u.a. für ABYSSIC tätig).
